About the downloads

Before installing and using the provided software, please read the enclosed license agreement and documentation carefully. Additional documentation can be downloaded after registration.

Note: Workplace login

In all the downloads you can use the general Workplace login 'supervisor / supervisor'.

Enterprise Trial

Note: Trial license

An Enterprise Trial license was sent to you upon your registration. This license is valid for 30 days.

Note: Installation steps Enterprise Trial:

  1. Register for the Enterprise Trial (receive login information in e-mail)
  2. Select the O3Spaces Workplace software resource that suits your Operating System. Each single download resource contains all required and optional software component you need. (server software, client software, Office and E-mail plug-ins).
  3. Install O3Spaces as described in the enclosed documentation.
  4. Connect to your fresh O3Spaces Workplace installation with your browser and install the license.
  5. After installing the license, you need to restart (stop and start) the O3Spaces server before the Workplace can be used.
  6. Install optional components:
    1. Install the desktop component (Workplace Assistant) on client computers (can be installed from the browser interface).
    2. Install Office and E-mail plug-ins from a running Workplace Assistant on client computers.

Note: E-mail archiving plug-ings

Only the e-mail archiving plug-in for Microsoft Outlook is embedded in the Enterprise Trial Edition download.

Note: Limited functionality

The following product module is not available in the Enterprise Trial Edition:
  • Template Management and Document Generation (part of additional EE Solution Pack)

Community Edition

Note: Community Edition is not intended for production environments

The O3Spaces Workplace Community Edition (CE) is a free-to-use and free of charge edition of the O3Spaces software. The Community Edition enables teams and workgroups up to 5 people to collaborate and share their documents.

The O3Spaces Workplace Community Edition is delivered 'as is' and without any warranties or support and is not intended for nor particularly suited for use in production environments

Note: Limited functionality

Not all functionality is available in the Community Edition.
The following functionality is limited:
  • Number of users limited to 5
  • Number of labels limited to 10
  • Desktop component (Workplace Assistant)
    • Number of concurrent signed on Workplace Assistants is limited to 2
  • No production database support (embedded Apache Derby database only)
  • No integrated manuals (PDF can be downloaded)
The following product modules are not available in the Community Edition:
  • Repository Search in the Workplace Assistant
  • E-mail Archiving
  • Files import (the Community Edition has no ZIP or server bulk import option)
  • Template Management and Document Generation
  • Extra configuration:
    • Hide option to start the Workplace Assistant
    • Log-in screen customization (add custom logo)
    • Workspace favorite buttons
    • Application Embedder (embed external web-applications in the Workplace)
  • Custom spacelet-types (user-defined overviews)
  • Workspace Rules

Note: No Updates

It is not possible to update an installed Community Edition to a newer version.
