Can't install the MS Office 2010 plugins with 64 bit office. Option is not available in workplace assistant.

Problems with moved O3Spaces Installation

For some reason our Workplace (CE Edition) is not running anymore after a movement of the Tomcat, Data and restore of the database. As far as I know moving shouldn't be a problem? Or is that only possible for the Enterprise Edition? To give you more information: First it was installed on Debian Etch and now we moved it to Debian Lenny.

The Workplace requires Sun Java. Replacing the current Java with Sun Java will probably solve your problem.

You only have to install the plugin in Thunderbird 3. No Workplace Assistant configuration is needed.. Just install the extension in Thunderbird (Tools>Add-ons) and it should work.

In fact, I replace the .war file. Then I read in another thread that I should remove the webapps. I did it, but didn´t work either. Another info, is that I migrate the repository from Linux Ubuntu to Windows 2008 Server SE. Does it matter?

Are you opening this specific topic from the containing workspace program or from the 'my discussions' program. (the log file does indicate something like this). Installing version 3.2.1 might possibly help, because a similar kind of issue is fixed in this version.

I would really like to know when this is available too. O3 seems a little more managable than Alfresco (once I work out how configure the MySQL backend, derbys not really suitable for deployment) but if there isn't an API, its a deal breaker, because thats the most important part I'm looking for.

I had a similar problem with Java 6 U 18. Do you use the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Java? If one uses the 32-bit version of OpenOffice, you must use the 32-bit version of Java. This has helped for me, but I had a slightly different error message ...
